Bio: Colleen Gunderson is an award-winning photographer exploring connection and subtle beauty in the natural world, revealing the poetic aspects of everyday life and suggesting a delicate balance. Birds, branches, sky, and water frequently help tell the story. Pigment-based ink and washi (Japanese paper) provide rich depth, texture, and a peaceful ambiance to the finished prints. Gunderson has shown her work in numerous juried group exhibitions throughout the state, notably at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, and Walker’s Point Center for the Arts in Milwaukee where she received the First-Place award in 2012. In the fall of 2025, her photography will be on view in Japan as part of the Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition. She served on the Advisory Board of the Riverfront Arts Center in Stevens Point for three years and is a professional-level member of the Wisconsin Visual Artists.
