Multiple entries after the first will be discarded.
Submission fees will not be refunded.

Entry Timeline

  • Submissions Open Wednesday, May 25, 2021, at 8A.
  • Submission Close Extended to Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 10P
  • Winners will be notified by Monday, June 20, 2022 via email and on the Call for Entries Page.
  • Framed, Matted, and/or Wired prints are due to the Art Bar no later than Monday, July 11, 2022, 9PM. Prints not received on time will not be exhibited.

Don Krause, curator and owner of Art★Bar, has issued the following challenge for the 2022 CoPA+Art★Bar summer exhibition: Happy Accidents.

Sometimes art is messy, chaotic and unpredictable. In these instances art can often end up happening to you more than you happen to it.

We visualize, we compose, we execute our technique and when we get to the post portion of our process we are often surprised. The image we thought would be the one can often disappoint; while a test shot or a mistake electrifies.
We want to see that great shot…that didn’t go according to plan. The Happy Accident.

 

NOTE:  Read and follow these instructions BEFORE you submit  How to Submit to CoPA+Art*Bar 2022 Exhibition

Any entries that do not meet these specifications will be deemed ineligible for jury selection and fees forfeit without notice.

Submissions open: Wednesday, May 25 @ 8A
Submissions close: Sunday, June 19th 10P
Submission fee: $10 for up to five entries (open to CoPA members only)
Notifications:  Monday, June 20th by 9P via Website & Email

AWARDS:
Don’s Grand prize – $100.00
CoPA Board prize – a one year CoPA membership or one year membership extension.

Final Selections must be “Gallery Ready” for exhibition and sale as follows:

  • ● If framed – images must be framed in clean, plain white or black frames.
  • ● If matted – mats must be clean white. No exceptions. You may print professionally on other surfaces, such as aluminum, canvas, linens and woods.
  • ● All pieces MUST be equipped with a wired hanger on the back; no Sawtooth, or D-rings.

By submitting to this exhibition you agree to meet the submission criteria and accept delivery & pick-up requisites.

Make SURE your images are named according to the required convention, How to Submit to CoPA+Art*Bar 2022 Exhibition. If they are NOT named accordingly we WILL NOT KNOW they are yours or whom to notify if selected. In these cases submissions will void and fee forfeit.

Submissions will NOT be presented for selection if the fee is not paid by 9P on June 19, 2022.
