Advanced Outdoor Lighting: Using Strobes

Using strobes outdoors. 

In Advanced Outdoor Lighting, we’ll explore lighting possibilities using speedlights and studio strobes outdoors. Demo images will appear in real time on a monitor and iPads so you can learn as we go.

Bring your camera and lenses, as well as strobes, light stands and modifiers. You’ll be able to participate in the demos, and take home images to study.

Workshop Information

Advanced Outdoor Lighting by Nick Collura is a 3 hour afternoon workshop with two short breaks. Please bring light snacks and refreshments if you wish. Cameras and your own strobes, light stands, and modifiers are encouraged but not required. Bring something to take notes if you wish.

The stage features a 30’W X 20’H single curve cyclorama. Lighting is a snap with our 18’ X 24’ motorized grid. We have ample power for LED continuous or strobe lighting and generator truck access for traditional high power requirements.

RDI offers an industrial chic space to bolster your artistic expression. Nestled in the heart of a quaint neighborhood with plenty of local restaurants and pubs. 10 minutes from city center, airport or train station.
