CoPA is delighted to present photographer Margaret Muza at our October meeting. Please join us for a great presentation, Q&A and lots of inspiration.
Margaret Muza is the current Artist in Residence at the Pfister Hotel, where she practices the wetplate photographic method. A precursor to film, the wetplate method requires that each image be made start to finish while the chemistry is wet, about a ten minute time limit. While Margaret has dabbed in film and digital photography, her focus is on this Civil War era method. Her love of history and old photographs led her to learn this process, and her work strives to stress the value in preserving the past for the future generations.
