On behalf of CoPA’s Executive Board, we hope you’ve enjoyed the diverse, thought-provoking programs we’ve offered this past year. We sat spellbound through Dr. Kenneth Bendiner’s lively “Edward Weston and Surrealism” presentation, as well as Mark Weller and John Rummel’s incredible astrophotography of the Apostle Islands lighthouses. We were moved and amused by Aaron Johnson of “What the Duck” fame and photo journalist Kristyna Wentz-Graff from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. CoPA’s own Marc Wollman showed us how to prepare our work for exhibition, and Eddee Daniel shared the ins and outs of self-publishing. Eric Ljung, winner of the Artist Incentive Award, shared his work on the preservation and demolition of Milwaukee’s historic Sydney Hih building.We’ve also critiqued each other’s work in slide slams and around tables, enjoyed a wonderful Members’ Exhibition in April and, most recently, opened our beautiful Juried Exhibition at the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts.
