Brand new to CoPA - April 2008. I have known about it for a couple years. Decided it was time for me join in the fun.
I have been in photography in one form or another for over 30 yrs. Most recently I was a co-owner of JR Studio, near Milwaukee, Wisconsin for about 2 years. I love the studio work and gained valuable knowledge of lighting and pose, but location shots are always fun to do as well. I also do some commercial work.
Photography is art. It is perceived differently by everyone that sees it. The challenge is getting the viewer to be able to recognize the value in the image captured by the photographer. The real sense of accomplishment I get from photography is seeing the look on someones face when they totally enjoy one of the photos.....
